Connect your TikTok account
Connect a TikTok account with TikTok's own login, so the posts you approve or post now reach it through TikTok's official API.
Reelazy posts to TikTok through TikTok's official Content Posting API. You connect an account once, on TikTok's own login page, and each Reelazy account then posts to its TikTok account.
On Free you don't need to do this ahead of time: click Post to TikTok on your first post, then Connect TikTok, and you come back to the same post. See Your first 2 posts.
Steps
- Open Accounts and click your account. Open its Settings tab, then TikTok and posting.
- Under TikTok account, click Connect TikTok.
- TikTok's login page opens. Check that it shows the TikTok account you want, keep every permission ticked, and confirm.
- You come back to Reelazy and see "TikTok account connected". The account now shows Connected.
- Under How posts reach TikTok, pick Send to the TikTok inbox (recommended) or Post directly, then click Save. See Inbox or Direct.
Tip: TikTok's login uses the account already signed in on tiktok.com. To connect a different one, sign out on tiktok.com first, or use a private window.
Other ways to connect
- Settings → TikTok connections → Connect a TikTok account. The account is connected but not set up yet: it shows under Accounts in "TikTok accounts not set up yet", where Set up links it to a product.
- An account with no TikTok yet can also take one you connected earlier: in TikTok and posting, use Or use one already connected.
Good to know
- Each Reelazy account posts to one TikTok account. A TikTok account can be connected to only one Reelazy login.
- Keep every permission ticked. Without the stats permissions, the account shows "Connected · stats off: reconnect and allow them" and its Stats tab stays empty.
- How many TikTok accounts you can connect depends on your plan. See Plans and limits.
- Unlink (in TikTok and posting) stops this account posting to that TikTok account. The connection stays, so you can link it again.
- Disconnect… (in Settings → TikTok connections) revokes Reelazy's access with TikTok and deletes the posts made from it. Scheduled posts to it are dropped.
- TikTok account under two weeks old? Click Start warm-up in TikTok and posting, and read how to set up the account. See also Account pace.
Note: Reconnecting the same TikTok account keeps its posts and schedule. Use Reconnect when TikTok signs it out or when you want to allow a permission you left out.
If it doesn't work
- "Invalid OAuth state, please try again": start again from Connect TikTok and finish the TikTok login within a few minutes, in the same browser.
- "This TikTok account is already connected to another user": it is connected to a different Reelazy login. Disconnect it there first.
- "Your plan includes … TikTok account. Upgrade to connect more.": see Plans and limits.
- The wrong TikTok account got connected: click Disconnect… next to it in Settings → TikTok connections, sign out on tiktok.com, then connect again. On Free you can swap a wrong account once.
- "TikTok signed it out": see Reconnect TikTok.
- Running several accounts? See Many accounts.
