Make a batch of posts

Make posts writes a batch of posts for one account in one go: in one format or a mix, with photos, at the times you choose. They are made in the background and wait in Today until you approve them.

Steps

1. In Today, click Make posts. You can also click Make posts on a format in Formats, or the + on an empty day in Today's week.
2. Under How many, for which account, pick 1, 3, 5, 7, 10 or 15 posts and the account.
3. Under Pictures, pick Photo library or My photos. See Background photos.
4. Under When they go out, choose Repeat on days: a first day after From, one or more times, and Every day, Weekdays or Pick days. Or choose Pick each time to set each post's own day and time. Below, you see the times your posts will get.
5. Optional: click + Topic or ideas and add one, such as "saving for a first car".
6. Under Format, pick AI picks (the best fit for each post's topic, so a batch mixes formats), one of yours, or one of ours: Listicle tips, Mistakes, Uncomfortable truths or Story / POV. Details shows a format's slides. Copy from a post adds a new one; see Copy a format.
7. Click Make 5 posts (the number you chose).

Today then shows Making 5 posts with a progress bar. Posts are made about a minute a post, two at a time, and appear under To review as they are ready. You can leave the page. Click Stop to drop the posts not made yet; their times are free again.

Good to know

• A batch takes up to 15 posts. For more, make another batch.
• The form starts with the account's own posting times. Change them for this batch, or set new defaults in the account's Settings → TikTok and posting → Times.
• Some times are skipped: times that already have a post, times less than 10 minutes away, and posts beyond what the account can take in a day. See Account pace.
• Each post uses one AI post from your plan. The line above Make shows how many you have left. See Plans and limits.
• Charts and diagrams in your posts are drawn as cards, and each uses an AI drawing. When none are left, those slides get library photos.
• If a post can't be made, its time stays free.
• Nothing goes to TikTok until you approve it. See Approve posts.
• On Free you make 1 or 2 at a time and post each one yourself; scheduling is part of Pro.

If it doesn't work

• "Connect (or reconnect) this account's TikTok first, so the posts can be scheduled.": on Pro, the account needs its TikTok before you make posts. See Connect TikTok or Reconnect TikTok.
• "You have 3 AI posts left this month.": make fewer posts, or see Plans and limits.
• "Only 3 free times in the next two months on this schedule.": add times or days, or pick a later first day.
• "This account is beyond your plan": see Billing.
• "Pick at least one day": with Pick days, choose at least one day.
• A batch stopped early: Today says why. If TikTok said too many posts, see Too many posts.
