Copy format says it can't make this look

The post you copied is a comic, mostly detailed artwork, or one real person. Pick another look or go ahead with photos; on Free the read is free.

You copied the look of a TikTok post on the Start screen, and under "We read it" Reelazy shows a note: the post is a comic, mostly detailed artwork, or the same person on most slides. Reelazy can't make posts that look like that one.

What Reelazy makes

Reelazy makes one kind of post: text on background photos, plus charts, tables and simple drawings laid over the photo as cards. It doesn't make:

  • Comics: drawn panels, characters, chat stories.
  • Detailed artwork: illustrations on most of the slides.
  • A real person: the same person on most of the slides.

What you'll see

The lookMessageButton
Comic"This is a comic. We make text and drawings on photos, so your posts would use photos where its panels are."Pick another look
Artwork"4 of its 6 slides are detailed artwork. Your posts get a photo there, so they will look quite different."Pick another look
A person"Most slides show the same person. Add photos of you and we put one on each slide; library photos show a different person each time."+ Add your photos

The slide list marks the slides that change: "Art · photo instead" or "A person · your photo". On Free, the note ends with "This read did not use your free look."

Fix it

You have three choices.

  1. Pick another look. Choose a different saved post or other screenshots. Posts with text on photos or plain colours, maybe with a chart or a simple drawing, copy best.
  2. Use your own photos (a person look). Click + Add your photos and add photos of you. Reelazy puts one on each slide.
  3. Go ahead anyway. Click Make my 2 posts again. Your posts follow the copied format slide by slide, with photos where the original had panels or artwork. They will look different from the original.

The read doesn't use your free look

On Free you get one look to copy. A look we can't make doesn't count, so you can pick another one straight away. The format is still kept in Formats if you want to use it later.

The same goes when the screenshots aren't one slide post. You see a message such as "These screenshots do not look like the slides of one post. Upload the slides of the post you like, in order." Nothing is saved, and your free look isn't used.

Note: In Copy a format on the Formats page, artwork shows as a line under the slides, such as "Slide 3: detailed artwork we can't redraw yet. Posts in this format use a photo there." Only those slides get a photo; the rest follow the format.

Why it happens

When Reelazy reads a look, it sorts what carries the post: text on photos, a comic, artwork, or a person. Only the first is a kind of post Reelazy makes, so it tells you before you make anything rather than after.

See Copy a format for how reading a look works, and Plans and limits for what Free includes.
