Several TikTok accounts for one product
Add more TikTok accounts for the same app, give each one its own angle so they never post copies, and run them all from Today.
You can promote one product from several TikTok accounts. The accounts share the product's facts and photos, and each one gets its own angle, so they never post the same thing. Add one whenever you want a new kind of post for your app.
Steps
- Sign out of tiktok.com in your browser, or open a private window. TikTok's login reuses the account already signed in there.
- Open Accounts in the sidebar and press Add account.
- Under Add a TikTok account, pick the product this account posts for, or A new product.
- On What is this account about?, pick one of the suggested angles, press Three other ideas for more, or write one under Or write your own. Press Continue.
- On Connect your TikTok, press Connect another account and sign in with the new TikTok account. Tick This TikTok account is new (under two weeks) if it is, choose how posts reach TikTok and how many a day, then press Continue.
An example
A budgeting app, yourapp.com, could run three accounts:
| Account | Angle |
|---|---|
| @yourapp | The app itself: what it does and how people budget with it |
| @yourapp.tips | Money tips for people in their twenties |
| @yourapp.daily | One small money habit a day |
Each account's posts follow its own angle, and all three send viewers to the same app.
Good to know
- To change an angle later, open the account's Settings tab, then What it is about. Edit the text or press Suggest angles, then Save angle. New posts follow it.
- Product facts are shared. Editing Product in one account's settings changes it for every account of that product.
- If an account belongs to a different product, use Move to another product at the bottom of its Product section.
- TikTok accounts you connected but didn't set up are listed on Accounts under TikTok accounts not set up yet. Press Set up to choose their product.
- In Today, the chips at the top show one account or All accounts, and This week has one row per account. Make posts asks which account the posts are for, and Calendar has an account filter.
- Each account keeps its own posting times, its own Inbox or Direct setting and its own daily pace. See Account health and daily pace.
- How many accounts you can have depends on your plan. See Plans and limits.
Tip: Give each account an angle that speaks to a different viewer or does a different job. Two accounts with the same angle end up posting near copies.
If it doesn't work
- TikTok connected the same account again: sign out of tiktok.com first, then try again. See Connect your TikTok account.
- The plans open when you pick a product: you have reached your plan's account limit. See Plans and limits.
- An account says TikTok signed it out: see An account needs reconnecting.
