Copy a TikTok format

Copying a format turns a slideshow you like into a recipe for your own posts: what each slide does, how the hook works and how the text looks. Reelazy copies the structure and the look, never the words or the photos. Use it when you've found a post that works in your niche.

Steps

1. Open Formats and click Copy a format. To copy a post you saved with the extension, click Copy format on it in the Saved tab instead; its slides are filled in for you.
2. Under 1 A screenshot of every slide, click Choose screenshots, or drop or paste them. Add 2 to 10 screenshots, each under 15 MB.
3. Check the order. Reelazy sorts them by file name (Slide 1, Slide 2 …). Drag a slide, or use its arrows, to fix it.
4. Optional: under 2 What do you like about it?, add a note, such as "one habit per slide, the calm photos".
5. Click Read the format. Reading takes 20 to 60 seconds.
6. Check What the AI read: the format's name, its through-line, an idea For your product, each slide's job and picture, and its look (fonts, colours, where the text sits). Click All details for the hook and why it works.
7. Click Make posts in this format. The format's page opens; click Make posts in this format there and choose how many. See Make a batch of posts.

Good to know

• Example: a post called "5 habits that fixed my mornings" can become your "5 money habits I wish I knew at 22", with the same slide plan and look.
• Your screenshots are only read to learn the format. They never go on your slides.
• Charts, tables and simple drawings in the original are drawn again as cards over a photo. Detailed artwork can't be redrawn yet, so your posts get a photo on those slides. See Looks we can't make.
• Copied formats live in Formats › Yours, and every one of your accounts can use them. Rename or delete one from its ⋯ menu or its page.
• Changing the slides or the note shows Read again. A new read replaces the format read before.
• You can also copy a format from Make posts (Copy from a post), from Today (Copy its format), or from a post's chat (Copy format).
• Each read uses 1 copy. On Free, a read of screenshots that aren't one post's slides, or of a look we can't make, gives the copy back. See Plans and limits.

If it doesn't work

• "These screenshots do not look like the slides of one post": upload every slide of one post, in order, and nothing else.
• "Some screenshots are missing. Upload them again.": remove the slides marked Failed and add them again.
• "The AI could not read this post. Try again in a minute.": wait a minute and click Read the format again.
• The posts don't look like the original: see Looks we can't make.
