Background photos
Where your slides' photos come from (the photo library or your own uploads), and how charts and drawings go over them as cards.
Every Reelazy slide is text on a background photo. Some slides also get a card over the photo: a chart, a table or a simple drawing. You choose where the photos come from when you make posts, and you can change any photo afterwards.
The choices
When you make posts, Pictures offers these:
| Pictures | What your slides get |
|---|---|
| Photo library | A matching photo for each slide, from a library of licensed Pexels photos. Slides that teach something, like a chart or steps, get a drawn card. |
| My photos | The account's own uploaded photos, in order. Slides without a photo are plain. |
Whichever you pick, slides that show your product use your own product photos when you have uploaded some. Your first 2 posts use the photo library.
Steps: add your own photos
- Open Accounts, click the account, then open its Photos tab.
- Click Upload and pick your photos, up to 10 at a time.
- Optional: add a note under a photo ("What is this?"). To sort photos, click Select, tick them, then Move to a folder or New folder…. Notes and folders help you find a photo later.
On Start, + Product photos does the same. Photos are shared by every account of the same product.
Steps: change one slide's photo
- Open the post (see Edit a post) and click the slide's photo.
- Click Replace. The Choose one of your photos dialog opens.
- Pick from This post, Your photos or Photo library. In the library, search with plain words, such as "notebook budget planner", and click More photos for more. No image removes the photo.
On your phone, tap the photo, then pick one of the photos like it, or tap Change.
Drawn cards
Charts, tables and simple drawings are drawn as cards over the photo. When a slide would read better with one, the editor shows 2 diagram ideas next to your photos. Click Diagram on a slide to draw its card, or Add all 2. Select a card to move it, drag a corner to resize it, or click Remove sticker.
Each card uses one AI drawing from your plan. When none are left, those slides get library photos instead. See Plans and limits.
Note: A post with a drawn card is sent with TikTok's AI-generated label. Posts with only photos and text are not.
Good to know
- Library photos are licensed from Pexels and free to use in your posts. Hover a photo to see its photographer.
- Removing a photo from Photos doesn't change slides that already use it.
- To put your own photos on a post's slides in order, upload them in the post's Your photos strip and click Apply in order.
- Copied a format with detailed artwork? Those slides get a photo. See Looks we can't make.
If it doesn't work
- "The library has no photos for this product yet": search with other words, or upload your own in Your photos.
- "No library photos match": try simpler words that name a thing, such as "coffee cup" rather than "cozy morning".
- An upload fails: try fewer photos at once, or see Plans and limits.
